Ad futura scholarships
Ad futura scholarships are intended to promote the international mobility of secondary school and university students and improve their professional qualifications. Among other things, they also support study visits abroad that are recognized by the home educational institution in Slovenia as part of the educational program.
Conditions for obtaining a scholarship for a study visit
Target group
High school and college students enrolled in secondary, higher, or university programs at the 1st or 2nd Bologna level.
Duration of visit
At least 2 weeks for high school students, at least 3 weeks for university students, and a maximum of 25 weeks in total.
Recognition of liabilities
The home educational institution in Slovenia must recognize the study visit as part of the educational program requirements, either in the form of credit points (ECTS) or in another comparable manner.
Scholarship amount
Cost of living
Weekly scholarship for living expenses, determined by public tender.
Travel expenses
Possibility of a travel allowance in the amount specified in the public call for applications.
Application procedure
The Public Scholarship, Development, Disability, and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia publishes calls for applications for Ad futura scholarships, which specify the conditions, criteria, scholarship amounts, and application deadlines. Calls for applications are usually published on the fund's website, where application forms and detailed instructions for applying are also available.
Student obligations
After completing the study visit, the scholarship recipient must submit a report and evidence of participation and use of funds.
The scholarship recipient undertakes to obtain the appropriate level of education after completing their studies and to be employed by an employer based in the Republic of Slovenia for a period equal to the period of receiving the scholarship.
